Loungin' in Fort Lauderdale with Erin & Mama B!

Sometimes the best vacations aren't the longest—they're the ones filled with sunshine, laughter, great food, and unforgettable memories. This past weekend, Mama B, her best friend Cathy, and I escaped Charleston for a quick Fort Lauderdale girls' getaway at the beautiful Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, and it couldn't have been more perfect!

Checking Into Hard Rock Hollywood

We arrived late Thursday evening, checked into our room, unpacked our bags, and immediately headed downstairs to soak in the excitement of the resort. The perfect start to our trip? A dirty martini for me, a Bay Breeze for Mama B, and a White Russian for Cathy while we explored the casino.

After a relaxing night of sleep, we woke up ready for our favorite part of any vacation—lounging!

A Perfect Pool Day in Fort Lauderdale

Friday morning, we settled into our private pool cabana and officially entered vacation mode. The Hard Rock pool area is absolutely gorgeous, and the service was outstanding from beginning to end.

Our afternoon consisted of:

• Mimosas by the pool
• Chips and dips
• A fresh seafood roll
• Chicken tacos
• Hours of lounging in the in-water pool chairs

It was everything a relaxing girls' weekend should be. There's just something special about spending uninterrupted time with the women who know you best. Between conversations, laughter, and plenty of sunshine, it was exactly the recharge we all needed.

Dinner at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood

After several hours by the pool, we headed back to our room to get ready for dinner before the concert.

We dined at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, one of the Hard Rock's signature restaurants, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We enjoyed perfectly cooked filet mignon, crisp chopped salads, and adorable mini baked potatoes that were every bit as delicious as they looked.

Earth, Wind & Fire and Lionel Richie Live

The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly seeing Earth, Wind & Fire and Lionel Richie perform live.

Earth, Wind & Fire opened the evening with incredible energy and had the entire venue dancing from the very first song. After a brief stage change, Lionel Richie took over and reminded everyone why he's a music legend.

One of the funniest moments of the night came when Lionel joked that, per his doctor's orders, he had to drink electrolytes between every song. He also spotted boxing legend Evander Holyfield in the audience and joked that he definitely didn't want to make him mad! The crowd loved every minute of it.

From Hello to All Night Long, we sang every word with thousands of other fans. It's amazing how music can instantly transport you back to special moments in life.

A Little Shopping Before Heading Home

Saturday morning, we squeezed in a little shopping around the resort before catching our flight back to Charleston.

Although it was only a two-day getaway, it felt like we packed an entire vacation into one weekend.
